You and your dog will learn a lot over the next few weeks, but I’m here to break your training journey down into approachable steps and help you through the process. I’ve got some homework for you before we get started.

These first exercises are less about training, and more about getting you and your dog into a mindset to work together and begin to build a positive working relationship together. You’ll have two assignments- these are to teach a marker word and begin practicing “sit on the dog”. Don’t worry, these are both super easy and you won’t be in the dog house if you mess up!

There will also be some information that will begin to dive into how our dogs learn. Don’t feel like you have to memorize any of this, these are just things that will be helpful to know as we train!
